About
I'm Deborah Genchi,
art has been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember.
Since I was a child, it's been my way of communicating.
I grew up in Bari, on the Adriatic, and the sea shaped the way I see things:
its light, its movement, the figures that pass through it.
That's where waterflow began.
I've been tattooing since 2015, working in small, detailed pieces that read like paintings on skin. The style didn't have a name yet, people would later call it colour "microrealism".
Every design is made for one person and never repeated.
I'm now based in Zurich, and I still tattoo in Bari, where I founded
Debrart Tattoos. It's my other home.
Alongside tattooing, I paint in oil and teach other artists through Tattoodemy.

Who is responsible
Tattoodemy GmbH is the data controller for debrartist.com. It is a Swiss company that manages Deborah Genchi's work, and it decides why and how the personal data collected on this site is used.

What data we collect
We only collect what you send us and the basic technical data every web server records.
- Booking form: first name, last name, email, city (Zurich or Bari), subject, and the description of your idea.
- Emails: anything you write to us directly.
- Server logs: IP address, date and time of the visit, page requested, browser and device type. The web server records these automatically.
We do not use analytics, advertising tools, tracking pixels or social media plugins.
Why we use it
We use your data to answer your request and, if you book, to manage your appointment. Nothing else.
- To reply to booking requests, send a quote and manage the waiting list. Legal basis: steps you asked for before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep the site secure and working, using server logs. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To keep accounting and tax records if you book. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Tattoodemy GmbH is based in Switzerland, so the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies. The GDPR also applies, because this site serves people in the EU. We never sell your data or use it for marketing. No decisions are made by automated means.
How long we keep it
We keep data only as long as we need it, then delete it.
- Booking requests and emails: up to 24 months after our last contact, so we can manage the waiting list.
- Booking and payment records: as long as Italian or Swiss tax law requires.
- Server logs: [14 days].
You can ask us to delete your request at any time, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Who receives it
Your data stays within Tattoodemy GmbH and the people who handle Deborah's bookings. External providers process it on our behalf, under a data processing agreement.
- Website hosting: a hosting provider with servers in [Germany]. The site, its database and the form entries are stored on this server.
- Technical administration: a member of Tattoodemy GmbH's management, who maintains the website and the server.
- Email: [email provider], used to receive form notifications and reply to you.
- Studio team: authorised staff at Debrart Tattoos who manage bookings.
The booking form runs on our own server. Entries are not sent to the form plugin's developer or to any other third party.
Transfers between Switzerland and the EU
Tattoodemy GmbH is based in Switzerland and the website is hosted in [Germany]. Requests for Bari appointments are handled in Italy. Switzerland and the EU recognise each other as giving an adequate level of data protection, so data can move between them without extra safeguards. We do not transfer your data to any other country.
Cookies
This site uses no tracking or profiling cookies, so it does not show a cookie banner.
- Fonts and images load from our own server. The site makes no requests to Google, social networks or advertising services.
- WordPress sets technical cookies only when an administrator logs in. Visitors receive none.
- Links to Instagram or Tattoodemy Learn take you to other sites, which have their own privacy and cookie policies.
If we ever add tools that use non-technical cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your data, to limit how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Write to info@tattoodemy.com and we will reply within one month.
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to a supervisory authority:
- In Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC)
- In Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali
- Or the authority in the EU country where you live.
Good to know
- Age: the booking form is for people aged 18 or over.
- Health information: please do not include health details in the form. If something matters for your tattoo, such as a skin condition or an allergy, we will talk about it at the studio before the session.
- Required fields: name, email and your idea are needed to reply. Without them we cannot answer your request.
- Changes: we may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
